Rasheeda Abubakar

Biography
Rasheeda has her first degree in Sociology and holds an MBA and a master’s in human rights and diplomacy.
She has worked with various UN agencies and NGOs and represented the UNA-USA, a part of the UN Foundation and the largest network of UN advocates in the world, in the 67th session of the Status of women commission CSW67 at the UN headquarters.
The founder and CEO of Rashida Foundation, a self-funded charity organization, has been involved in several charitable works, supporting orphans and IDPs in northern Nigeria as well as contributing significantly to their lives and well-being.
Rasheeda Abubakar is interested and has a very strong passion for the culture of philanthropy, girl child education, and the empowerment of women and girls with the goals of making a positive and lasting impact in their lives and communities.
