H.E. Hilda S. Mafudze

Biography

Her Excellency Hilda Suka-Mafudze, is the African Union Ambassador to the United States of America since October of 2020. Born in Zimbabwe, Ambassador Suka-Mafudze is a seasoned diplomat and political expert with over two decades of professional experience in African affairs. Prior to her current appointment, she served as Ambassador of Zimbabwe in various countries, including Sudan, South Sudan and Malawi.

An accomplished leader,  Ambassador Hilda Suka-Mafudze is skilled in mediation, government, international relations, English, post-conflict, reconstruction, human rights, humanitarian activities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). 

Her academic credentials include degrees and diplomas in Sociology and gender development as well as a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations and World Order from the University of Leicester, England.
